Goshawk has a long narrow tail, short rounded wings and bold white eyebrow. It has a fierce expression with bright red eyes. Its broad wings enable it to hunt at high speed, flying in and out of trees and its long legs and talons can catch its prey in flight.

 

The Northern Goshawk is found across northern America, Europe and Asia. They are usually found in large areas of woodland and forests. 

 

The Goshawk's diet consists of large birds, squirrels, rabbits, and hares.

 

The  Goshawk is well known for its fierce defense of its nest. It commonly attacks people and other animals that approach the nest too closely.
